May 2013 – well it has been a long time since I ‘resided’ in an NHS hospital but my sincerest thanks to all concerned at The Lister in Stevenage. Total dedication, professionalism and committment. Where would we be without an NHS – I suggest back in the dark ages!!
The first May bank holiday Monday I will be singing with Celtic Krystal at The Horns in Datchworth from 1.00pm – 4.00pm at their beer fesival.
The Bank Holiday at the end of May sees Celtic Krystal at The Victoria in Hitchin for the Annual VicFest in aid of The British Heart and Stroke Foundation and Headway brain injury charities. Celtic Krystal will be hosting a folk night on Friday 24th May in The Barn at the Vic from 8.00pm. This is an open mic night with a ‘folk vibe’ and any singers, musicians are welcome to attend and enjoy a very relaxed evening of music. Kelly Oliver will be one of our guest singers and there will be many other well know faces, and not so well known faces, performing that evening. I will then be taking a bit of a back seat for the remainder of the weekend providing ‘sound’ in the Barn of The Victoria for the plethora of artists performing at VicFest. Celtic Krystal do have a band set at 8.30pm – 9.00pm on the Monday evening, when they finish the music in the Barn at 9.00pm before the final act in the Pub, The Scally Wags’, wind up a fantastic 4 days of music. A weekend not to be missed and let’s hope the sun shines.
Bar recuperating, I will be in Glasgow in the middle of the month then back to Hitchin.
If you are considering hosting an event and require some Celtic songs, jigs and reels, then why not get in touch via my contact page. Myself and Celtic Krystal are available for weddings, parties, folk nights and festivals of all sorts, as is covers duo Solid Silver.
Hope things warm up for your in May. Stay safe, keep music live and have fun all round!
~ Yours Aye, Robin.
